Baccarat at cili88 – More Than Just Picking Banker or Player
If there is one casino game that truly cuts across every type of player in Malaysia — from those trying their luck for the first time to seasoned high-rollers at thousand-ringgit VIP tables — it's baccarat. There's something about the way this game plays out that makes it almost impossible to walk away from. Perhaps because it's simple without being dull. Perhaps because every round feels like a fresh start. Or perhaps because nothing quite matches the suspense of waiting for that last card to turn.
At cili88, we understand the appeal of baccarat better than any other platform in Malaysia. That's why we don't just offer one or two tables — we've built a complete baccarat ecosystem, from the most beginner-friendly tables all the way to lavish VIP rooms, all with high-quality video streaming and professionally trained dealers.
Baccarat Basics – A Quick Guide for Malaysian Players
One thing that often puts new players off trying baccarat is the assumption that it is complicated. In reality, baccarat is one of the simplest casino games when it comes to player decisions. Here is how it works:
Each round involves two hands — "Player" and "Banker". You bet on which hand will have a value closer to 9, or whether both hands will end in a tie ("Tie"). Cards valued at 10, Jack, Queen and King count as zero. Aces are worth 1. Cards 2 through 9 use their face value. When the total exceeds 9, the first digit is dropped — so 15 becomes 5, and 18 becomes 8.
Once two cards have been dealt to each hand, fixed rules determine whether a third card is drawn — players do not need to make any decisions during the round. This is what makes baccarat so relaxed and enjoyable compared to other card games like blackjack or poker.
Banker, Player, or Tie – Which is the Smart Bet?
This is a question asked by nearly every new baccarat player at cili88. The mathematical answer is clear: the Banker bet carries a slightly higher chance of winning than Player, and is significantly better than Tie. Here is the comparison based on statistics drawn from a very large number of rounds:
- Banker wins in approximately 45.86% of rounds
- Player Wins in approximately 44.62% of rounds
- Tie occurs in approximately 9.52% of rounds
Banker bets carry a 5% commission on winnings to offset its statistical advantage — so if you win RM100, you receive RM95. Even so, the Banker bet still offers a higher RTP (98.9%) compared to Player (98.76%). The Tie bet may look attractive with its 8:1 payout, but with a house edge of around 14%, it's not a wager recommended for players who want to play smart.
At cili88, these statistics are available in real time right alongside the table for every player's reference. We believe an informed player is a player who enjoys the game more.
